The municipality of Ebnat-Kappel intends to build a replacement building on the site of today's Wier retirement and nursing home. In the new building, the existing operating concept of inpatient care and assisted living will be further developed. The replacement new building of the nursing home for 94 residents includes the following space requirements: 3 residential groups with 23 1-bed rooms each, protected living group for 25 residents (7x 1-bed room, 7x 2-bed room, care oasis), public areas, restaurant, multi-purpose hall, activation, gymnastics room, administration and general infrastructure, attractive outdoor space including protected garden. The new building will be built in hybrid construction (concrete / wood). The surroundings of the new building will also be redesigned / created.
