DEG, a subsidiary of KfW, is one of Europe's largest development finance institutions for long-term project and corporate finance. Within the framework of the present award procedure, DEG is looking for specialist consultants for the Risk Controlling department in two lots. Up to four framework contract partners are to be selected per lot.

The initial situation: As part of organizationally newly implemented business analyses for the financing business and corporate management, infrastructure and regulatory/technical driven projects and topics are managed in building blocks. In particular, the planned outsourcing of the limit management system (LMS) and the model for determining the economic capital requirements for credit and equity risk (credit manager) should be mentioned here. Other relevant change topics arise from the continuous development of DEG's risk management (e.g. RAROC, EEAD/LGD, capital planning, risk-bearing capacity, etc.).

The overarching objective of the order is the new or further development of risk methods in connection with the risk types relevant to the order. To this end, supervisory and DEG's internal requirements as well as overarching validation requirements for risk methods must be taken into account.

The intention is to conclude a framework agreement with a term of four years. Up to four framework contract partners are to be selected. The overarching objective of the contract is the use and DEG-specific adaptation of SAS for the development of innovative solutions in risk controlling at DEG.

This includes the comprehensive support of the departments from the requirements recording to the business analysis, conception, implementation, testing and professional-methodological and technical documentation to the transfer to the line function. In terms of content, the focus is on economic and regulatory issues of risk controlling.
