Supply of ultramicrotome to the Bohdan Dobrzański Institute of Agrophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin

1 Automatic feed system with stepper engine in the minimum range of 200µm (0,2mm)

2 Cutting rate of preparations in the minimum range of 0.1mm/s to 99.9mm/s

3 Knife adjustment system - precise mechanism with adjustable angle of knife inclination with a scale of 1° in the range of minimum -2° to +15°

4 Ultramicrotom has precision manual micrometric drive for N-S and E-W knife movement

5 Lighting system - lighting of the entire LED cutting area (top, bottom as well as through the preparation) with adjustable brightness

6 Ultramicrotom should be able to work with glass knives as well as universal diamond knives up to a minimum of 12 mm thick

7 Cutting precision - thickness of sliced scraps: ultramicrotom should allow the slicing of preparations in the range of ultrathin and semitic scraps, i.e. from a minimum of 5nm to a minimum of 10µm

8 Control the device via an electronic touch panel with large screen min. 21” 1080p HD, without physical buttons (touchpad) to measure knife shift, measure knife shift in E-W axis, count the total number of cut sections, count the set amount of cut scraps.

9 Ultramicrotom should be equipped with a compatible stereoscopic microscope, with a minimum zoom range of 6.5x to 50x, zoom minimum 8:1, observation angle minimum 35° and with adjustable eyewear spacing. The microscope should have the option of optionally mounting a microscopic camera.

11 Ultramicrotome compatible cryo system for preparing scraps from a minimum of -180°C to a minimum of 35°C

12 Cryo system — It should have an automatic supply system for the chamber with liquid nitrogen from the Dewar vessel set with a capacity of min. 10L and with an attached unpressurised liquid nitrogen pump with a safe insulated link

13 Cryo system — Should be able to control the temperature height separately for the sample mounted in the head, separately for the knife and separately for the gas in the chamber

14 Cryo system - the kit should contain the necessary tools for operation at low temperatures: special preparation holder and handles for diamond and glass knives

15 Cryo system - the set should contain a freezing chamber with LED lighting system, with temperature stability min. +/- 0.1°C

16 Cryo system - compact control panel integrated with ultramicrotome, with minimum memory of 4 temperature settings

17 Ultramicrotome weight: not exceeding 95 kg

18 Ultramicrotome dimensions: 860mm (+/- 10 mm) x 550mm (+/- 10 mm) x 650mm (+/- 10 mm)

19 Power supply: 220-240 V 50/60 Hz
