Description:

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. This requirement was previously advertised in OJEU/DCO (ref 2012/S 156-260691).

Expressions of Interest are sought from Potential Providers with the ability to prime an end to end solution that meets the following requirement:

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. DE&S has a possible future requirement for a Contractor Owned Contractor Operated (COCO) Service provision of up to two task lines of 300hrs/month each ISR coverage from Royal Navy and/or Royal Fleet Auxiliary platforms to meet the operational demand of the tactical commander. The system will be required to operate both day and night and be available to the user on a 24/7 basis. Due to the timescales of this UOR a mature Military or Commercial Off The Shelf solution is required that will meet MAA regulations.

Broad minimum system specifications are expected to be: an operating range of 40Nm from the launch platform with ability to loiter at this range for 8hrs and be able to track fast moving targets and anticipated to be predominantly EO/IR based. The system must be able to operate alongside existing aviation detachments.

The full requirement will be released as part of the ITT.

Due to the classification of the requirement Potential Providers, and their sub-contractors, must have the ability to process, store and transmit information classified at UK Restricted level. As part of your expression of interest please confirm the status of your organisations Facility Security Clearance, once clearances have been confirmed the Authority will send Potential Providers a copy of the SRD for review and comment.

If your organisation previously submitted a PQQ for this requirement under the auspices of OJEU/DCO ref 2012/S 156-260691, please confirm either; that your original PQQ remains extant or that you will be updating and resubmitting your original PQQ submission.

Potential Providers not previously involved with this requirement are to contact the Authority to request a PQQ form.

Completed PQQs are to be submitted to the Authority by 1000am on 21st February 2013.
