The aim of the tender is to provide a future-proof charging infrastructure for electric drivers (residents and visitors) in Utrecht. This involves both keeping the existing public charging stations functioning and installing new charging infrastructure in line with the expected needs.

To achieve this, we purchase the management, maintenance and operation of approximately 700 existing charging stations, and the installation, management, maintenance and operation of approximately 1,000 new public charging stations in line with the expected need.

The municipality of Utrecht (hereinafter: the municipality) intends to conclude one (1) Concession Agreement with regard to the acquisition, operation, management and maintenance of pre-designated Charging Facilities and the provision, installation, operation, management and maintenance of new Charging Facilities according to (expected) charging needs in the public space in Utrecht.
