The two regional bus lines 240 and 250 together form a network, which extends over the southeastern part of the Werra-Meißner-Kreis, and extends into the northern area of the district Hersfeld-Rotenburg and the Wartburgkreis. From Creuzburg (line 240) and Herleshausen (line 250), both lines reach the systematic transfer point in Sontra-Wichmannshausen, where there are connections to each other on the one hand in the direction of the district town of Eschwege (line 240) and on the other hand to the middle centres of Sontra and Bebra with the local railway junction (line 250). Part of the service of line 250 is set up on demand with call-sharing taxis. Furthermore, the local bus line 241 provides school-related connections in the area of the municipalities of Herleshausen and Ringgau as well as the city of Sontra.
In the municipalities of Herleshausen and Ringgau, supplementary local transport with
CallShared taxis offered on lines 249.1-2. In the city of Sontra as well as in the municipality of Cornberg these are the lines 259.1-2. Furthermore, this includes line 269 from Sontra to the municipality of Nentershausen.

The local bus lines 204, 205, 206 and 207 as well as the regional bus line 210 open up the area of the cities of Großalmerode, Hessisch Lichtenau and Witzenhausen in the Werra-Meißner district as well as the municipality of Helsa in the district of Kassel. There are connections to tram traffic in Hessisch Lichtenau and Helsa. In Witzenhausen there is a connection to the higher-level rail traffic. School locations are served in Eschenstruth, Fürstenhagen, Großalmerode, Helsa, Hessisch Lichtenau, Hundelshausen, Rommerode, Walburg and Witzenhausen. Demand-driven services with call-sharing taxis are offered in the municipality of Helsa by line 204, in the city of Hessisch Lichtenau by lines 209.1-3, in the city of Großalmerode by lines 205.2 and 210.2 and in the city of Witzenhausen by lines 219.1-6, which also extend to the area of the municipality of Neu-Eichenberg. The transport services of lines 219.1-219.6 are only to be provided for a period of two years.

The regional bus line 230 connects the middle center Eschwege with the middle center Mühlhausen (Thuringia) with a route between Eschwege and Wanfried south of the Werra. With coordinated rail connections at both ends of the line in the Free State of Thuringia, it fulfils its function as a "state-important bus line". The local bus line 232 includes school services between Eschwege, Grebendorf, Wanfried and Treffurt. The bus line 235, which is also classified locally, is designed as a ring line. It begins and ends in Eschwege at the Stadtbahnhof, leads first to the district of Jestädt and then to several districts of the municipality of Meinhard in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. The local line 236 connects the municipality of Weißenborn with school locations in Wanfried and Eschwege. The connections between Eschwege and the districts in Meinhard, Wanfried and Weißenborn are supplemented by the call-sharing taxi line 239.3, which provides a demand-driven service in the service gaps of bus transport as well as during holidays, weekends and public holidays.
