This assignment relates to the various insurance policies for eighteen local police zones within the province of Flemish Brabant. The Zennevallei police zone will act as a central purchasing centre in the context of this assignment and will only place the assignment. The specific insurance policies are taken out by each participating police zone.

The contract is divided into six lots, namely:

-Industrial accidents

- civil liability and legal aid

-patrimony

- Global Vlootpolis

- omnium service movements

- zaakschade

The Tenderer must provide cover in accordance with the Work Accidents Scheme, as laid down in the Laws and Regulations and any other or later additional or changing Legislation and Regulations on the regulation of work accidents for the public sector in general and the police zones in particular.

The object of this insurance is to guarantee the civil liability that can be charged to the policyholder on the basis of legal and regulatory provisions, in BELGIUM and abroad, as a result of damage caused to third parties and which results directly or indirectly from the company with its various services, departments and internally privatized agencies, its staff, equipment and infrastructure, movable and immovable property, inside and outside working hours, inside or outside the enclosure of the company.

This parcel (patrimony) comprises two (2) headings, namely:

- Fire insurance

The object of this item is to guarantee the patrimony of the participating police zones, including both immovable property and movable property.

- All risks (electronics)

This item provides cover for both the equipment belonging to the policyholder and the equipment made available to him (fixed and mobile equipment).

The object of this insurance contract is to insure the entire rolling stock of the participating police zones.

The object of this insurance contract is to insure damage to the personal vehicles belonging to the policyholder's employees and agents, when they are used for service travel.

This insurance contract must provide cover for the settlement of property damage, provided for in Article 53 of the Police Officers Act (WPA). The aim of this scheme is to protect (police) officials to the extent that they are exposed to greater dangers than other officials due to the specific nature of their position.

The further rules according to which (police) officials are compensated for property damage they have suffered, were determined by Royal Decree.
