The object of the procurement is the furniture of the City of Lahti, the Joint Authority for Education Salpaus, Lahti Energia Oy, Provincia Oy and Lahden Parking. The purchase includes: Purchased furniture (new and used/recycled), furniture rental and, as an additional service, e.g. furniture design, inventory, furniture recycling service. The amount of furniture to be purchased varies from year to year, the subscribers do not commit to any amounts. The estimated start time of the agreement period is 1.2.2024. The contract period is fixed-term for two years and can be extended with a two-year option period. The procurement is divided into five areas: Teaching and lecture facilities, Early childhood education facilities, Office and meeting facilities, Furniture rental and Recycled furniture.
Five contract suppliers shall be selected for each area of the framework agreement, unless there are fewer successful tenderers. Framework contract suppliers are not prioritised. Purchases below EUR 60,000 can be made from any contract supplier in the area. Procurements exceeding EUR 60,000 will be made through a streamlined competitive bidding process within the framework agreement. The operating model for streamlined tendering is attached to the invitation to tender (Appendix 2). The customer has the opportunity to continue with the same furniture series in use in those locations where it is, for example. essential for functional and aesthetic requirements. The scope of the procurement does not include projects in which, for example, For reasons of architectural history, the definition and procurement of furniture is influenced by the Finnish Heritage Agency's guidelines for the protection of the built cultural environment.
