Metal work, window and facade renovation Disassembly, production and delivery of new facade elements, windows and doors for energy upgrading as well as the conversion and renovation of all floors of the main building of the Maximilian Kolbe School in Neunkirchen-Wiebelskirchen, which is sponsored by the Diocese of Trier. The renovation of the flat roofs will be carried out in 2 construction phases. The work takes place during the individual construction phases, with the exception of school holidays, during ongoing school operations.
The Maximilian Kolbe School was built in the years around 1975 as a reinforced concrete skeleton construction (TT beam ceilings on the ground floor and upper floors) or reinforced concrete/masonry construction (basement) with non-load-bearing system partitions (so-called “mechel walls”) as interior walls and an aluminum sliding window facade. The building has 5 floors (UG-3rd floor) and a technical floor. Due to age, there are deficits in the building in terms of building services, fire protection, energy balance, etc., which are to be remedied in the course of the renovation.
The metalwork will take place within the overall renovation project, which consists of a total of 3 construction phases, in the 2nd and 3rd construction phases.
In the 2nd construction phase, the window elements of the 3rd and 2nd floors will be renovated.
In the 3rd construction phase, the window and door elements of the ground and 1st upper floors will be renovated.
Specifically, the 2nd construction phase involves the dismantling of the existing window elements 147 window facade elements with sheet metal curtain walls, approximately 220 m attic covers with steel railings, cutouts and penetrations of approximately 10 roof drains, approximately 17 emergency drains.
In the 3rd construction phase, in detail, the dismantling of existing window elements 205 door and window facade elements with prehung sheet metal facades, approximately 55 m attic covers with steel railings, cutouts and penetrations of approximately 3 roof drains, approximately 3 emergency drains.
