The target of the procurement is the renewal of the approximately 82 km long 110 kV transmission lines as a kvr contract, when fully operational. The procurement also includes the procurement and delivery of materials*). The wires are located in Kajaani. In the areas of the cities of Vieremä, Kiuruvesi and Pyhäjärvi. The power line contract consists of the Vuolijoki - Ruotanen approx. 75.1 km, Ruotanen - Pyhäsalmi approx.

2.5 km and Ruotanen - Pyhäjärvi approx. 4.3 km.

The renewal of the power lines will be carried out as a 2-Duck power line, mainly with a raked pole structure, with free-standing lattice poles in field areas. In the Ruotanen - Pyhäjärvi power line, HTLS conductors will be replaced at the Pyhäjärvi crossing. The route of the power line is located on a section of approx. 12 km alongside the current 110 kV power line Vuolijoki - Murronkangas (Kajave). The terminal portals to the Ruotanen substation are part of the substation contract, which Elenia will procure separately. At the Pyhäsalmi (Pihtipudas) and Pyhäjärvi substations, the old portals will remain in use. The power line will be commissioned according to the annual construction shares. The preliminary and general design documentation of the power line is submitted during the procurement process.

Preliminary annual construction/commissioning sections 2024 approx. 30 km (Vuolijoki – Ruotanen), 2025 approx. 32 km (Vuolijoki – Ruotanen) and 2026 approx. 20 km (Vuolijoki-Ruotanen end, Ruotanen-Pyhäsalmi and Ruotanen-Pyhäjärvi).
