The purpose of this document is to invite applications from experienced suppliers of resource recovery vehicles, and refuse collection vehicles to Powys County Council. It estimated that the Contract will be awarded in June/July 2013, and the initial minimum requirement of vehicles required will be ordered for delivery by July 2014. Additional vehicles may be ordered subsequently.
Purchase orders for the minimum amount of vehicles as indicated in the Specification, will be placed, and followed by potential additional vehicles as an option. The appointed suppliers will provide delivery of parts within 24 hours and Impress stock for commonly used parts to our 3 workshops. They will also be required to provide training and support for users and maintenance operatives at various locations. Further information is provided in the Specification – Section 5.
The contract is divided into 3 Lots:
Lot 1: The Supply of Resource Recovery Vehicles (This includes all variants i.e. Standard and Small 12 Tonne as per the specification)
Lot 2: The Supply of 26 Tonne Narrow Track Refuse Collection Vehicles (As per the specification)
Lot 3: The Supply of 16 Tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles (As per the specification)
