The aim of the contest is to enter into a framework agreement with one or two tenderers for 3rd party inspections and verification in projects connected to the Atom installations in accordance with the Norwegian rules and particularly IAEA's recommendations.
IFE wants to ensure that an accredited inspection body is engaged as an independent third party. See the attached assignment description.
The assignments are as follows:
- refer to IAEA Safety Standards and other international standards that can be used for implementing the decisions or impositions from the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority.
- confirm that the applied criteria, reference to the IAEA Safety Standards, for example, IAEA Specific Safety Guide No. SSG-15, Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel, and other international standards are correct, and that the decisions or impositions from the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority are taken into consideration.
- review design specifications, load data, criticality, calculations, safety analyses, risk assessments, stand-by plans, preventive measures, and other documentation, such as drawings, factory acceptance test (FAT), site acceptance test (SAT), inspection plans, NDT procedures, material and welding specifications.
- carry out inspections before, during, and after installation, monitor operational tests, factory acceptance test (FAT), site acceptance test (SAT), transport of used fuel and inspect documentation.
