SSE Generation Ireland operates an electricity generation business in Ireland. The existing generating plant consists of a mix of conventional thermal plant, CCGT and OCGT’s. SSE Great Island Generating Station is a primarily Gas Fired Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 470 MW combined cycle gas turbine with heat recovery steam generator and steam turbine. The main equipment is supported by Balance of Plant/auxiliary equipment such as auxiliary boiler, compressors, water treatment plant, circulating water systems etc. The CCGT commenced operation with first fire in September 2014. This requirement is for the provision of a mechanical contracting services for Great Island Power Station. This is made up of two parts:

• provision of a mechanical site supervisor;

• day to day and plant outage mechanical contracting services.

This includes for the support to the SSE Great Island CCGT site team and the supply of labour together with all necessary tools and equipment and sub-contracting services.

This contract is for the provision of a mechanical contracting services for Great Island, Campile, New Ross, Co. Wexford. This is made up of two parts:

• provision of a mechanical site supervisor as per the role profile — Appendix 1;

• day to day and plant outage mechanical contracting services — Appendix 2.

This includes for the support to the SSE Great Island CCGT site team and the supply of labour together with all necessary tools and equipment and sub-contracting services.
