The contracting authority intends to enter into a contract for the emptying and transport of sewage sludge from interceptors for sludge (septic tanks), blocked tanks, and other minor treatment devices, etc., in accordance with the municipalities' local emptying regulations.

The municipalities have a total area of approx. 2310 km2, and it is a relatively long way between the outer edges. The sludge must be transported to a central reception site at Lillehammer treatment facility, Dampsagveien 120, 2609 Lillehammer.

There are currently approx. 40,000 inhabitants living in the municipalities.
