The purpose of the contract is to monitor, through the corresponding analyses and their technical-scientific interpretation, the levels of potentially toxic phytoplankton in coastal waters of the Mediterranean off the coast of the Region of Murcia and the Mar Menor, in particular in order to alert as early as possible hypothetical toxic events in bathing waters with repercussions on human health. This will be done by collecting relative data on phytoplankton proliferation and taxonomic determination of potentially toxic species, as well as data derived from analyses of toxin concentrations according to cell densities; on the one hand, during the bathing season on beaches of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean, more intensively, and on the other, in the waters of the interior of the Mar Menor, less intensively and throughout the year
