The planning task includes the construction of a new school building at the vocational school center in Michelstadt in the Odenwald district. As the client, the Odenwaldkreis strives to build the planned school building as a constructive timber structure. The multitude of wooden construction methods offers an answer for almost every building task. New technical solutions, such as B. Hybrid constructions, system construction methods and different degrees of prefabrication are possible.

Following the award procedure for the structural planning, an architectural competition will be carried out. The selected structural engineer should participate as an expert in the jury and actively contribute to the description of the structural specifications for the planning competition. The architectural competition is expected to take place between April and October 2021.

The awarding of the following planning services is planned:

1. Structural planning phase 1-6 according to §51 HOAI 2013,

2. Consulting services:

- Basic service for thermal insulation and energy accounting in accordance with Annex 1.2.3 of the HOAI 2013,

- Basic building acoustics services in accordance with Annex 1.2.4 of HOAI 2013,

- Basic room acoustics services in accordance with Annex 1.2.5 of HOAI 2013.
