Freiburger Verkehrs AG is planning the new construction of the Waldkircher Strasse light rail,

In the course of this, the Hornus loop with a stop will be rebuilt and the tracks and catenary with masts on Zähringer Straße will be renovated, and the catenary system on Komturstraße will have to be dismantled or dismantled.

In addition, the city of Freiburg's garden and civil engineering department is expanding the FR3 bike priority route in Friedhofstraße.

The construction work Hornusschleife/Zähringer Straße and FR 3 will take place during the construction of the new Waldkircher Straße light rail, construction phase 3.

During this period, light rail lines 2 and 4 are interrupted.

This is from 11.04.2022 to 09.09.2022, from 10.09.2022, light rail line 4 will go back into operation, line 2 will remain out of service.

Before line 4 on Zähringer Straße is restarted (September 10, 2022) and at the end of the present construction project, work such as cabling, construction of the contact line system, construction of the new signalling systems, etc.

This work, as well as the setup or to integrate the lighting into the construction process. This follow-up work must be coordinated in such a way that mutual obstructions are avoided.
