Service and maintenance of equipment used by the Pathogen Genomics Unit (PenGU) to provide a routine service to specialist and reference labs across Microbiology and across Wales.

Three year fixed service contract for 3x Nextseq 550 and 1x Miniseq are required by PenGU in order to provide a routine service to specialist and reference labs across Microbiology and across Wales. Any equipment failures will add delays to the TAT and reduce resilience. The equipment can only be maintained by the Provider (Illumina Cambridge Ltd). They are the only supplier with the capability to maintain this equipment and the cost of repair, when out of contract, is significant.
