Description:
Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, Campus Zweibrücken, renovation and extension Reinraum Geb. L 19D0258 - Objektplanung Gebäude und Innenräume gem. Part 3 Section 1 HOAI

The services of the contractor include the object planning of buildings and interiors acc. Part 3 Section 1 HOAI for the construction of an extension to the clean room of building L, at the University of Kaiserslautern Campus Zweibrücken, service phases (LPH) 2-9 (LPH 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 in parts) acc. § 34 HOAI, supplemented by special services.

The aim of the award procedure is the awarding of project planning services buildings, service phases 2-9 supplemented by special services, for the construction of an extension to the clean room of building L, at the University of Kaiserslautern Campus Zweibrücken.

The clean room at the Zweibrücken site of Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences was completed in 1998 and equipped with numerous large appliances the following year. Initially, he primarily served as an apprentice in the degree program Microsystems Technology. Increasingly, he was also used for applied research of microsystems technology professors. In the meantime, courses are being held for the three Bachelor programs Micro- and Nanotechnology, Applied Life Sciences and Technical Business Management as well as the 2 Master Programs Microsystems and Nanotechnology and Applied Life Sciences. Due to the increasing amount of third-party funds, the cleanroom currently employs around 20 project staff (including about 10 doctoral students) and around 15 students each year for their scientific theses. There are also numerous external users in research and teaching. In addition to the growing number of users, the work areas have also developed and expanded in terms of content and topic. Scientific and technical developments have mainly led to an expansion of applied research and teaching in the direction of nanotechnology.

The clean room technology is now outdated and partially defective. It can only be repaired very complex and adapted to the new requirements. For technical reasons, closing the clean room during the refurbishment period is unavoidable, since essential parts of the clean room technology must be renewed. This long closure would severely hinder, if not prevent, teaching and research operations.

For the time of the renovation of the old clean room, therefore, the construction of the supplementary new building is indispensable. The new addition will be the only way to carry out the relevant research and student laboratories. It must therefore contain all essential functional areas of the current, old clean room. However, the additional construction is planned much smaller because of the high construction costs as calculated according to land requirement calculation of HS Kaiserslautern. The supplementary new building is planned without office space for the laboratory employees - therefore one has agreed on the implementation of a clean room bridge, which connects the two clean room units with each other and thus forms an unhindered connecting passage. In order to maintain teaching and research in an acceptable manner, this connection is necessary.

The total construction project includes the refurbishment of the inventory clean room in building L and the construction of the new expansion clean room with a total of 985 m 2 NUF 1-6.

This area is subdivided into the renovation of the inventory clean room with 356 m 2 NUF 1-6 and the new extension with 629 m 2 NUF 1-6.

Subject of the services to be provided are the property planning services building for the new construction of the extension.

Estimated production costs for the new construction of the extension:

KG 300: approx. EUR 2.85 million net and

KG 400: approx. 4.27 million EUR net.

Estimated production costs for the renovation of the inventory cleanroom:

KG 300: approx. EUR 0.17 million net and

KG 400: approx. EUR 1.82 million net.

The planning services for the refurbishment of the existing cleanroom, including the KG 300, are provided as part of the TGA planning.

The results of the rehabilitation planning of the existing cleanroom (set up by the specialist planner TGA) are to be incorporated into the HU-Bau, as well as in the approval planning of the entire complex (old and new building).

Planned completion:

- Commissioning extension: 26.9.2023,

- Commissioning of clean-up after renovation: 30.9.2024.
