Helse Nord-Trøndelag (HNT) has, through “Reis Smart” been given resources to procure pedal bicycles and electric bicycles with accessories for employees, to a value of 2 750 000 NOK (including VAT), and invites tenderers to a tender contest for the delivery of these bicycles.
Levanger based “Reis Smart” intends to motivate people to be more physically active, reduce the amount of vehicles in towns and travel more on public transport where possible. Employees who register in the scheme must not use private cars to travel to and from work for a 3 year period.
HNT would like tenders to be split between 50 % pedal bicycles and 50 % electric bicycles.
Employees must also have an option to purchase the bicycles at the same agreed price for up to 1 year after the contract has been signed. The volume here is now known, but a questionnaire has shown that many employees could be interested in this offer.
