The purpose of the connections is the contribution of video, audio and IP connections for use in the production, business and other IP-based functionality of the TV 2 and TV 2 regions.

The purpose of the tender is to establish a number of networks for the exchange of audio and video signals (henceforth called AV signals) and data traffic between TV 2 Denmark's (TV 2) locations, between TV 2 and the 8 regional TV 2 stations and between the regional TV 2 stations.

The networks are divided to ensure that services do not interfere with each other and to ensure a high level of security.

There are 5 networks in total:

- AV contribution between TV 2 locations

- AV contribution between regions and to/from TV 2

- Data network between TV 2 locations

- Realtime network between TV 2 locations

- Data network (family network) between TV 2 and the regions, AV contribution between TV 2 and the regions and AV contribution between TV 2 locations is used for transport of time-critical, non-compressed, live - Audio Video signals - (SDI and ST2110).

The data network between TV 2's locations and the family network is used to connect TV 2's office and production network between locations and regions.

The realtimenet will be used to transmit time-critical, live AV signals internally between TV 2's locations (NDI and ST2110).

The tenderer must establish and operate the networks as a "fully managed service" - i.e. the supplier is responsible for ensuring uptime, operation, monitoring, configuration and maintenance of the network.

TV 2 is in a transition phase where our traditional SDI infrastructure will gradually be replaced by an IP infrastructure. At the conclusion of the contract, TV 2 will work with SDI signals in the system format 1080i/25, but shortly into the contract period, the AV infrastructure in TV2-OD will be transferred to IP, which handles both the system formats 1080i/25 and 1080p/50.
