Design, production and maintenance of Laser Mégajoule X-ray optical analyzers (AOX) on behalf of CEA/DAM

Optical X-ray Analyzers (AOX) are ultra-fast imaging cameras responsible for acquiring and digitizing time-resolved images with a resolution in the picosecond range. The sub-assemblies constituting the cameras are integrated into a hermetic mechanical structure called an "air box" which is integrated into the Plasma Diagnostics (DP) that equip the Megajoule Laser Experiment Chamber (LMJ). The volume of an air box is about one-tenth of a m3.

The AO X to be made are of two types: X-Slit Scanning Cameras (CBFX) and X-ray Full Image Cameras (CIIX). The equipment integrated into the air box for each type of AO X is not strictly identical.

A first series of AO X is in operation, the requested service aims to complete the fleet of this equipment.

The purpose of the framework agreement is:

- The design and realization of new AO X, such as CBFX and CIIX, on the basis of the existing by integrating developments and taking into account obsolescences;

- The provision of support associated with AO X;

- The qualification of this equipment;

- Maintenance in Operational Conditions (MCO) services of AO X integrating the MCO of the existing fleet;

- The provision of documentation related to AO X.

Some specific constituents (slot scanning tubes for CBFX, shutter tubes for CIIX, image recovery cameras,..) will be imposed and provided by the CEA, which will remain responsible for the final performance of these constituents.

Files concerning AO X already completed will be provided for reference.

The estimated amount in part II.1.4 is a ceiling amount. The CEA will not incur payments beyond this amount.
