RENTAL, including the activation and provision of the service divided into 61 tranches, the first at activation and the subsequent for 60 quarters according to a specific payment plan with decreasing installments to take into account the obsolescence of the infrastructure over time (Article 23 of the Specifications).

OPTION 1: REDEMPTION of the infrastructure at the end of the 15-year rental period

OPTION 2: REDEEM the infrastructure at the end of 3 years of rental.

The contract concerns the rental service of connections with single-mode fiber optic cables on separate routes to create a dedicated network, cables in so-called "dark fiber" that will be rented with the Indispensable Right of Use DUI/IRU to the Contracting Authority for the duration of the rental period.

- At the end of the 15-year lease, the Contracting Station, at its sole discretion, may activate option 1 of the redemption in favor of the Italian State of the networks and related plants

- At the end of the 3rd year of rental, the Contracting Station, at its sole discretion, may activate option 2 of the redemption in favor of the Italian State of the networks and related plants

once the Contracting Authority will have the necessary funding available, verified that no technological updates have intervened that suggest the modification of the communication technology and once the suitability of the infrastructures built by the contractor has been ascertained through the acquisition of the results of the testing of the same.
