Description:
3621EMF110 - Risks of electromagnetic fields from the perspective of general practitioners and pediatricians in Germany II

Risks of electromagnetic fields from the perspective of general practitioners and pediatricians in Germany II

Recommendations from a doctor play an important role in patients' health-related behavior. It is therefore important to learn how general practitioners deal with the topic of “electromagnetic fields” (EMF) and what role electromagnetic fields play in finding causes of illness and complaints or in treating patients. The findings are important to improve patient information in this area.

As part of the research project, a survey and focus groups among general practitioners and pediatricians will be used to assess their attitudes to the risks of electromagnetic fields, their relevance in dealing with patients, and the resulting forms of treatment. In addition to how doctors deal with this topic, the aim is to determine their level of information as well as information needs and information opportunities in the area of EMF.

The study builds on a project that has already been carried out and must include comparative elements.
