Repair and maintenance services. Repair and maintenance services of machinery. Wolverhampton Homes require a suitably qualified Contractor to provide a full annual electrical and mechanical inspection servicing regime and the repair of all mechanical roof extractor units fitted on each of the locations as listed in Schedule 3 Schedule of Rates. Services include:
— servicing preventative maintenance;
— response repairs and call out breakdown attendance (including out of hours service provision). The contract shall be for 4 years, with the option to extend annually for a further 2 years, subject to the satisfactory performance. The projected budget for this work over the course of the contract is approximately 80 000 GBP per annum. The winning contractor will be required to provide and be responsible for the provision of all services and meeting responses and rectification times in this Contract. The winning contractor will be required to provide relevant contact details, including for out of hours, for the purpose of reporting problems, faults, breakdowns, and general enquiries. The Contractor shall assign a dedicated person and a deputy for the running of this contract. The winning contractor will not use subcontractors in relation to the delivery of this Contract. The winning contractor must be registered as a member of the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) or equivalent approved body. The winning contractor will be registered on Construction-line and have a Contract Notation of at least 80 000 GBP in an appropriate category. The winning contractor will hold a relevant Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) certificate which includes Construction Contractor, Principal Contractor, CDMC, Designer, Group and NonConstruction as part of the SSIP audit. The winning contractor will have Public Liability Insurance of at least 5 000 000 GBP for the duration of the contract. The winning contractor must ensure that all operatives employed on the contract are given Asbestos Awareness Training. The winning contractor shall only utilise suitably qualified personnel in connection with this contract. Where Apprentices or other trainees are utilised on this contract, they are to be supervised by a suitably qualified person at all times. The winning contractor will be required to assist Wolverhampton Homes in its objective to build stronger and better communities. Accordingly, the Contractor will be required to actively participate in achieving these objectives and contract performance conditions may relate to social and environmental considerations. The contractor's technical capability to meet these requirements may also be assessed at the pre-qualification stage. The criteria which evaluate the manner in which the contractor will meet these requirements may also be included within the contract award criteria.
