The Trier Region Waste Management Association A.R.T. is currently constructing a new operating and administration building on the site of the Waste Management and Recycling Centre (EVZ) Mertesdorf. With the commissioning of the new company building, the supply of heating and cooling energy as well as the power supply must be ensured.

The energy centre will be connected to the new company building as well as to other existing and future buildings, facilities and operating points of the Mertesdorf waste disposal and recycling centre with a local heating network as well as cable and pipeline routes. In the final phase, an integrated energy system will be created for the demand-based transport of heating, cooling and electricity. Energy is largely generated from renewable sources, so that the overall measure makes a significant contribution to energy efficiency and climate protection.
