The Samtgemeinde Zeven intends to release for recycling the annual quantity of sewage sludge produced in the context of wastewater treatment at the municipal sewage treatment plant (a total of approx. 4,200 tons of OS). The sewage sludge is rotted sludge that is dewatered with either a screw press or a chamber filter press, depending on the operational requirements. The conditioning of the sludge is carried out by the addition of polymers and, depending on the dewatering unit, possibly also an iron III chloride solution. The dry matter content is about 21...27% TR. The continuously accumulating sewage sludge must be removed regularly for the duration of the contract in a weekly rhythm, on a maximum of two days of the week to be determined in advance. On average, a mass of about 80 tons of original substance (OS) per calendar week is produced for collection and recycling. The duration of the contract to be concluded is 12 calendar months after the order has been placed or until the time when the 4,200to OS have been properly exploited. In the case of a cross-border shipment, the duration shall be 12 months from the date of the notification successfully completed or until the date on which the designated tonnage has been properly recovered.
