The target of the procurement is the simulation centre of the Kotka campus of the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences for educational use. The simulation centre aims to create situations that resemble genuine interaction situations in the social and health care sector for educational purposes.
The simulation centre to be procured covers all equipment and services so that the simulation facilities can be used as a simulation centre. Equipment purchased by the client himself, which is not included in the object of the procurement, is explicitly listed in the description of the object of procurement attached to the invitation to tender. In the simulation centre to be implemented, teaching situations are described and recorded, which are reviewed and controlled in real time, and the recordings of these are used in teaching situations. In addition, the simulation center includes cabs from which situations are controlled, as well as debriefing rooms, where simulated teaching situations are reviewed with the help of recordings.
There will be a total of 12 simulation rooms (with cameras/microphones/speakers), 7 control rooms (+ two simulation rooms will be controlled from three control rooms) and 10 separate debriefing rooms.
The procurement consists of the following entities:
-Simulation software, server and switches
-Simulation-related cameras, microphones, speakers and other AV technology
-Installations and possible programming
-Training
-Maintenance and fault services
The system to be procured covers all equipment and services so that the end result is a ready-to-use simulation centre that can be used in teaching situations and possibly in other activities, such as competence assessment and development.
The simulation centre is being acquired for the new campus in Kotka. The campus will be completed in the inner harbour of Kotka in 2024, and the acquisition and installation of the simulation centre is scheduled to be completed before the start of teaching activities.
The tenderer must submit a tender for a single entity, which includes a simulation package and a maintenance contract for a period of five (5) years. For the above-mentioned entity, one (1) supplier offering the lowest price in the comparison is selected.
