Gassnova SF (Gassnova) intends to manage the government's interests connected to CO2 handling and shall be the government's executing company for the construction and operation of plants and infrastructure for planned CO2 catchment and storage solutions. Gassnova shall give advice to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy before the question on CO2 handling. In addition Gassnova shall contribute to the implementation of the CLIMIT programme in cooperation with the Research Council of Norway.

Projects where Gassnova takes care of the government's interests:

— European CO2 Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM),

— Transport and storage of CO2,

— Full scale CO2 catchment at Mongstad,

— Norwegian CCS Study (NCCS).
