Narvik municipality will build a new 2-parallel primary school at Narkvikhalvøyen. It has been decided that the new primary school will be built on the current school site of Frydenlund primary school. The existing school will remain in operation during the construction.

The contract includes assessing the construction of the school as an energy-plus-house, complete development of a preliminary project and turnkey contract description with all necessary drawings, requirement specifications and contest rules that form the basis for a tender contest for construction of the new primary school with accompanying outdoor areas. A cost analysis will also be prepared, giving a realistic and quality circle picture of the total cost of the project including LCC (Life Cycle Costs) and LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is a systematic survey and assessment of environmental and resource impacts throughout the entire life cycle of a product.
