Most recently, the Danish Coastal Authority has worked with drone technology to initially make surveys. KDI wants to expand the toolbox of the drones with the inclusion of the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) stretcher Light Detevtion And Ranging (LiDAR) system - red LiDAR for technical surveying. The Coastal Directorate has a DJI Matrice300drone, which is to be the spot form of the UAV borne red LiDAR.
The Coastal Directorate has established and continues to operate its own fixed point system - primarily on the west coast - and these fixed points are regularly measured with static GNSS.
