Comparative study on the planning and approval practice for large-scale retail projects in the SaarMoselle Eurodistrict.
A comparative study will be carried out for the cross-border SaarMoselle area. It represents a basic scientific work for mutual understanding in spatial planning. The legal framework for planning in France and Germany (especially on the subject of large-scale retail control) should be presented, compared and differences and similarities shown.
As part of the commissioned study, a basic work for mutual understanding in spatial planning is to be created. The aim is to present the legal framework for planning from France and Germany, to compare them and to show differences and similarities. In particular, the topic of large-scale retail control should be referred to. The various legal requirements, principles, trends and commandments should be presented. Typical terms from the location management of large-scale retail must be explained. In addition, the comparative study should list the instruments that can be used to support coordination processes (both formal and informal). Further recommendations for action to create a consultation concept are desirable.
