The Klinikum Dortmund is planning the construction of a new building for the Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and the Pediatric Surgery at the Mitte site, which was previously located north of Beurhausstraße.

The subject of this tender is the planning services HLS (heating, ventilation, refrigeration, sanitation, medical gases, building automation).

The Klinikum Dortmund is planning the construction of a new building for the Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and Pediatric Surgery, which was previously located north of Beurhausstraße. The new building is currently being built east of the Central Operating and Functional Building (ZOPF, building

C) on the site of the former Dudenstift (old women's clinic, building E). A connection to the ZOPF is planned on all floors. The construction volume comprises approx. 18,000 m² GFA.

The construction project is divided into 2 construction phases. Construction phase A comprises the two approved funding applications, for which an original plan was developed from 2018 to 2022 as an increase on the ZOPF:

BA A.1: Extension of the 4th and 5th floors

(Oncology ward with palliative care unit and AYA ward)

BA A.2: Extension of the 4th and 5th floors

(intensive care unit and paediatric surgery ward)

These four stations are to be located in construction phase A following the ZOPF.

Construction phase B contains

BA B: Department of Neuropediatrics, Pediatric Surgery, Orthopaedics, Pediatric Surgery Ward, Technology, Emergency Room, Functional Service, Physiotherapy

This is to connect directly to construction phase B and enable ward sizes of approx. 40 beds.

Baukostenvorgaben

The implementation of the entire construction project is currently estimated at EUR 78.5 million/gross. The financing for construction phase A is secured, the financing for construction phase B is currently being prepared.

Deadlines

The order for the planning services is scheduled to be awarded by May 2023. Construction phase A will begin immediately on the basis of the available approval notices. It is to be expected that construction phase B will be planned with a time delay, overlap and construction with a time delay. Construction phase A is scheduled to begin in January 2025 and completion is scheduled for 2026.

Leistungsbeginn

The client expects that in the event of an assignment, the offered project team will be available immediately to ensure compliance with the specified deadline. If necessary, an increase in team strength is expected to ensure adherence to deadlines.

Vertragsgrundlage

It is intended to conclude the contracts on the basis of the HOAI.

A step-by-step assignment takes place. First, the HOAI-Lph. 1 to 3 (construction phase A) or to Lph 2 (construction phase B).

The client intends to call up the further services HOAI Lph. 4 to 8 --- individually or in the whole --- when continuing the planning and execution of the construction project. The retrieval is made in writing. There is no legal entitlement to the commissioning of further performance levels.
