The JRC Karlsruhe plans the purchase of a laser 3D profilometer.
The 3D profilometer will contribute to several research areas of the JRC Karlsruhe, in particular:
— the characterisation of surface corrosion phenomena for the stability of spent nuclear fuel,
— the determination of mechanical and thermodynamical properties of uranium dioxide and other fuel materials,
— the identification of topological fingerprints of nuclear fuel for forensic purposes.
The purchase shall cover the delivery of the equipment, the training and the 24-month warranty period.
Supply of a laser 3D profilometer to be used for analysis of nuclear material.
