The purpose of this tender process is to select two service providers — one for asbestos surveying and legionella risk assessment services, and another to provide asbestos removal services.

Cobalt Housing wishes to appoint an experienced and competent service provider for the provision of — asbestos surveys, including the collection and analysis of samples collected on site; asbestos re-inspections; air testing (where third party testing required); and provision of data and reports. The service provider will be required to carry out survey work while the properties are occupied and to carry out part or all of the survey work to vacant dwellings (voids). Cobalt Housing wishes to appoint an experienced and competent service provider for the provision of – asbestos treatment and removal works to Cobalt Housings stock of general needs properties and communal blocks to meet our regulatory requirements and to protect our tenants, employees, visitors, members of the public and service providers. The service provider will be required to carry out asbestos treatment and removal work while the properties are occupied and also carry out part or all of the work to vacant dwellings (voids).
