Description:
Vg. Ecological construction supervision HEWE

Implementation of ecological construction support for a site fill up to expand logistics areas in the trimodal port of Emmelsum by around 15 ha.

DeltaPort GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter: DeltaPort) operates the port of Emmelsum in the area of the city of Voerde at 813 Rhine kilometers. The city of Voerde, a town in the Wesel district, is located on the lower Lower Rhine and within the northwestern edge of the Ruhr area in North Rhine-Westphalia.

To further develop the trimodal port of Emmelsum (water, road, rail), DeltaPort intends to develop an expansion area of around 15 hectares for logistics-related settlements on the western port side in addition to the existing CT terminal.

The aim is to create new, significant container handling capacities in line with demand and in good time in conjunction with directly adjacent logistics space at an expandable location that is qualitatively and quantitatively suitable to meet the forecasted long-term requirements of the market for container ports. In addition, another KV terminal is to be built. The plan approval decision has now been issued.

In the course of filling up to the new ground level (approx. 24.50 m above sea level), fan dams, embankments, infrastructure and the connection to the existing container terminal and the expansion of the container terminal are also to be included. Furthermore, the existing quay facility is to be extended by approx. 150 m to the north and the existing terminal to an area of approx. 11,500 m².

The area taken up is partly an original floodplain in the Rhine foothills. The areas are used as pasture land and sometimes have tree and hedge structures. As part of the upcoming construction work, the areas must be prepared. This includes, among other things, the removal of the topsoil. In some cases, shrubs and trees as well as protected herbaceous vegetation stands are to be transplanted or moved. It is planned that the outside fan dam will be built first. The outer slope of the dam is to be recultivated. At the foot of the dam and on the newly emerging embankment, some existing shrubs are to be transplanted from the construction site and new plantings are to be established. Herbaceous vegetation stands must also be moved and gate systems as well as amphibian protection fences must be erected. Some of the planned work is in the direct project area or is directly adjacent to the project.

DeltaPort has commissioned or will commission engineering and consulting services. These include technical planning for the creation of the logistics zone, open-space planning for the logistics zone, and project management. The services to be provided by the contractor must be coordinated and coordinated independently with the other specialist planners and experts commissioned by DeltaPort.

For the preparation of quotations, DeltaPort provides the Habitats compatibility study as well as the technical and outdoor plant planning of the Pl. logistics zone with service description and specifications. The technical planning corresponds to work phase 6 according to § 43 HOAI in conjunction with Appendix 12 to the HOAI.

- Plan approval request from the Pl. Western extension, incl.

o Technical planning for the western extension,
