The purpose of this contract is to renovate the automatons of the northern tube of the Toulon tunnel.

The replacement and modernization of the automation equipment of the North tube located in technical rooms, safety niches, operating niches, inter-tubes, emergency exits, fresh air ducts, as well as the elimination of automatons, the creation of two redundant front-end PLCs, the replacement of the four PLCs at the four pumping stations and the overhaul of the variables, as well as the modification of the Centralized Technical Management (BMS) supervision.
As an indication, the contract covers:
- around eight PLCs;
- approximately 70 remote input / output modules (MESD);
- approximately 5,000 physical I / Os;
- around 7,000 variables.
The methodology and phasing of the on-site implementation will have to integrate specific issues (security, on-call, software segregation of functions, etc.), and are therefore based on a detailed analysis of the inventory and areas for improvement and constraints identified by the operator. An automation and supervision platform will be implemented in the company's premises, bringing together all the equipment necessary for the development and verification of the processes before any deployment on site.
Work in tunnels, fresh air ducts and inter-tubes and more generally all work having an impact on operation that risks engaging a Minimum Operating Condition (CME) will be carried out exclusively at night under closure, over a period of from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. approximately.
