The high-energy beam guidance system (HEBT system) of the FAIR facility enables the transfer of ion, proton and antiproton beams to and from synchrotron and storage rings, to and from Super-FRS, to antiproton production target and separator, as well as to the experiment areas ( CBM and APPA). It consists of 29 beam paths with a total length of around 1.5 km.
A large number of racks for accelerator components in the beam path area of the HEBT system are required. These frames carry components for beam correction and diagnosis, as well as vacuum components and their connections. In addition, the racks carry the necessary media supply for the components.
34 racks are required.
In addition to technical development and construction, the scope of delivery also includes production, transport and delivery. A 3D CAD model of the building and the accelerator components as well as a 3D CAD draft of the frame are provided by GSI.
