The city of Erkelenz is planning a new multi-storey car park as part of the redesign of the east promenade. Attached to the parking garage is a bus stop with roofing and an integrated bicycle parking facility. The future object will be about 50 m long and 35 m wide, the entrance and exit will be on the north side. The multi-storey car park is to be built as an open multi-storey car park with nine levels. It offers 182 parking spaces and 130 bicycle parking spaces (including outdoor parking spaces). The bicycle parking spaces are realized, among other things, by a bicycle parking facility in level 0. In level 0, in addition to two parking spaces for people with reduced mobility and three parking spaces for families with small children, there are another two parking spaces where charging stations for electric vehicles are provided. On the upper levels are another six parking spaces for families with small children

, in each case close to the external staircase and staircase.

The building is planned as an open construction method with at least 1/3 opening share of the façade. This also applies to the planned level -1. The top parking level is located at a height of approx. 9.8 m above the terrain surface and the extensively green roof with PV system at a height of approx. 12.6 m. On level -1, a technical room is planned under each of the two ramps (driveway).
