The subject matter of the order is all areas of action of project levels 2 to 5 of the performance profile project management according to § 2 of the Performance and Fee Regulations Project Management, AHO, Issue 9, "Project Management in the Construction and Real Estate Industry - Standards for Services and Remuneration", 5th edition, as of March 2020.

The commissioning of the service phases takes place in stages

The Siegen District Hospital is currently planning its medium- to long-term structural and medical development. The further development also includes the intensification of the medical scientific cooperation with the University of Siegen and the construction of a new building, "Component 21", on the hospital grounds. A roadside building with underground parking is planned along Weidenauer Straße.

The Siegen District Hospital wants to build an outpatient surgery centre and a dementia ward in component 21. The other premises are to be used, among other things, by the University of Siegen for its research purposes. Through the cooperation of the University of Siegen with the Department of Neurology of the Siegen District Hospital in dementia research, a significantly improved patient care in the region is achieved. The aim of the medical-scientific cooperation is to achieve progress in the treatment of people with dementia. The dementia ward also offers the University of Siegen the opportunity to conduct research in the immediate vicinity of clinical treatment.

In addition, the construction of the building "Component 21" will generate further advantages and increased attractiveness for patients, employees and visitors through the commissioning of a restaurant and others, the care of patients, employees and visitors of the district hospital serve the facilities (e.g. bakery) on the ground floor. Component 9 creates a connection between "Component 21" and the main building of the Siegen District Hospital. This is to be done by building the "joint" between the two buildings.
