Engineering services to accompany and optimize groundwater remediation inck. MNA monitoring in the period 01/2021 to 12/2023 with the option to extend by one year from 01/24 to 12/24.
The HIM GmbH, area remediation of contaminated sites (HIM-ASG) intends to re-award the necessary engineering and expert services (freelance services) for further project processing in the Kassel project, chemicals trade, Leuschnerstrasse.
Mamot-Chemie de Greef & Co. manufactured and sold degreasing and cleaning agents on the property at Leuschnerstraße 39-41 in 34131 Kassel from 1955 to 1970. The raw materials were stored in 10 underground tanks at a depth of approx. 2 m. From 1970 to 1991, the company's activities were limited to the sale of industrial cleaners, in particular with dichloromethane, aliphatic, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons, glycol esters and caustic soda as ingredients.
The company buildings, which were completely burned down in 1974, were rebuilt. In 1991 the company buildings were torn down or dismantled.
During construction work on the property at Leuschnerstrasse 39-41, underground tanks were uncovered on February 23, 1993. Here, organoleptic indications were found that indicated contamination by solvents.
The site at Leuschnerstrasse 39-41 was declared a contaminated site on March 22, 1993 by the Kassel regional council.
The services can be roughly summarized as follows:
- familiarization with the project;
- Expert support for the pump and treat renovation;
- Monitoring and sampling of groundwater and soil air;
- Dismantling of the “Fahne” groundwater remediation system in Wilhelm-Busch-Str;
- Construction and dismantling of groundwater measuring points;
- Planning, implementation and monitoring of pumping tests;
- Preparation and participation in the awarding of services from third parties;
- Evaluation and expert assessment of the test results;
- updating of a groundwater flow and pollutant transport model;
- Planning and support of a field test for an ENA measure;
- Planning, participation in the award and start of the permanent ENA measure;
- quality assurance and public relations;
- documentation.

The services are to be awarded for the next 3 years with an optional extension for another year.
