Network Rail wishes to source providers of maintenance and protection activities for their Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) estate.

The UPS estate provides back up power to the signalling systems, ensuring control, management and safety of train movements is maintained at all times.

Network Rail's current UPS estate is circa 850 assets, approx. 75 % of this is 0-60 kVA and 25 % 60 kVA and up. Network Rail will be looking to include an option in the contract terms and conditions to allow the addition, and removal, of assets during the life of the contract.
