The Institute for Energy and Transport (IET) is one of the 7 scientific institutes of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), a Directorate-General of the European Commission (EC). The IET intends to enter into a contract for the supply, placement, fitting out and completion of a temporary reception building and security lodge, to be located next to the existing reception (Building 315) within the JRC site in Petten.
The accommodation includes an entrance, waiting room, reception counter, security post, sanitation facilities for security personnel and visitors, cloakrooms, a canteen, an office and associated technical and ICT rooms.
In addition to the supply and placement, there shall be installation and preparatory works, including temporary foundations (partly over dunes and partly over paving), all utilities connections on existing infrastructure, heating and cooling of the building and ICT/technical rooms, the transfer of all existing security installations and controls/supervisions from the existing building to the new one, all fixed installations (excluding furniture) and adapting the existing paving to go around the new building. Following completion and acceptance of the works, the contractor must guarantee maintenance for 12 months.
