In 2008, the Hengsteysee and Harkortsee weirs received a new, self-floating construction for the floating beam from 1951/52 to support the pipe needles as an inspection closure.
For the Harkortsee weir system, a separate, similar needle backrest girder is to be created with minor modifications compared to the 2008 construction.
A two-piece, buoyant box girder including hangers and connecting pipes, locking and coupling construction as well as required stop eyes must be manufactured, provided with corrosion protection and supplied in 2 units.
