The subject of this award procedure is the service for the transport of letters from participating Saxon judicial authorities. The postal service includes the pick-up service of the entire outgoing mail (including letters up to 20g, from 21g-50g, from 51g-500g, from 501g-1,000g and special sizes up to 1,000g, as well as registered delivery, registered mail and registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt), as well as the delivery service of all mail addressed to the respective judicial authorities, including the emptying of mailboxes of the relevant judicial authorities, as well as collection of lost and found letters from Deutsche Post for the respective judicial authorities.

The pick-up service includes the collection at the respective judicial authorities, if necessary also at the branch offices, the imprint of a cliché (according to the specifications of the client or the respective head of department), franking and delivery to the addressee within Germany, the franking and transport of foreign mail to the posting points of Deutsche Post, collection of the cleared prisoner mail at the respective correctional facilities and the Juvenile detention center to the consignment points of Deutsche Post AG. Pick-up is Monday to Thursday between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The respective heads of department may, in agreement with the contractor, agree on different times.

Subcontractors are not depository bodies within the meaning of Section 181 of the German Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO).

Delivery: The contractor generally delivers the shipments to the recipient on the next working day. The delivery times are based on the guidelines set out in Section 2 No. 3 of the Postal Universal Service Ordinance (PUDLV). All letters within Germany must be delivered to the recipient no later than the third working day after the day of collection. Delivery must also take place on Saturday.
