The number of electric cars continues to grow rapidly. This increases the demand for public charging solutions. The market for electric driving is becoming increasingly mature and with it the design requirements of the charging network are also changing. Where the focus used to be on developing a covering charging network within acceptable walking distances for all residents, the focus is now shifted to densification; sufficient charging infrastructure for all electric drivers.
This tender covers the acquisition, management, hosting, operation and maintenance of all existing AC charging stations (approx. 2,500), as well as the supply, installation, management, hosting, operation and maintenance of new AC charging infrastructure to be installed. The municipality expects to realize approximately 400 new charging stations every year. The activities are tendered as one lot, with a duration of 4 years (and 2x an optional extension of 1 year). The municipality of The Hague uses the assignment model.
