Operating under vacuum, the centrifuge will accelerate pellets of cryogenic hydrogen ice which are dropped into its centre. The pellets must be guided from the centrifuge exit using a guide tube, also under vacuum.

Among others the system has interfaces with the pellet sources, flight speed measurement unit and overall control system.
