Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV)

University intends to purchase an Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) including riverine measuring sensors as follows: side-scanning sonar, Multibeam Echosounder, ADCP, laser scanner, VRS-GNNS, water quality senor (cf. options).

The minimum, compulsory requirements are:

- Autonomous navigation including route planning capability

- Autonomous object recognition

- Remote control capability for navigation and sensors (as options 1-5)

- Effective measuring speed of 2 knots in fluvial environment

- VRS-GNSS position and GNSS-compas

- Inertia measurement unit with 0.03 degree detection level (roll & pitch)

- Minimum 4 h battery life in fluvial environment

- Protected thrusters

- Softwares and firmwares (windows) installed

- ASV and all selected options should be installed and ready to use

- Training in Finland at Univ. of Turku or riversite in Finland

- Define annual maintenance fee and software licences

- Payload minimum 5 kg (dry weight)

- Detachable to Sontek M9 ADCP (the present, existing device of the University)
