The town council decided, in their financial plan for 2016-2019, to set aside 234 000 000 NOK for the renovation and expansion of Skeiene secondary school. The current main building shall be renovated at the same time that the school is expanded from a U15 school to an U21 school.

The new school shall be completed for the start of the school year in 2018.

The project shall be carried out in builder-managed execution contracts that will be organised as joint contracts.
