The University Hospital Regensburg intends to procure a clinic-wide patient portal. The present object of the award will be implemented within funding article 2 (patient portals; §19 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 2 KHSFV) as a measure within the framework of the current KHZG digitization program.
The aim of the project described here is the gradual establishment of a nationwide patient portal for digital admission and treatment management for the clinics as well as for the patients at the UKR. With the establishment of the patient portal, a reduction of the previous communication and administration efforts for patients and employees and thus an improvement in the exchange of information is to be achieved.
The current processes and procedures in communication with patients, the coordination before a stay and the additional administrative expenses incurred are personnel-intensive, a challenge for the employees and an additional burden for all parties involved. For both patients and the clinic, it is an important added value to be able to provide treatment-relevant documents of the clinic in advance. Currently, patients can only fill out relevant contracts and information forms at the beginning of their clinical stay within the clinic. Furthermore, double documentation and unnecessary waiting times can arise before, during and after the stay, caused by inefficient information structures and a lack of digital possibilities for communication between patients and clinics.
The aim of the present project is to introduce a patient-oriented portal for the clinics, which is used for scheduling, information, anamnesis, education and the digital exchange of relevant care and treatment documents between all
parties involved can be used efficiently. Through the implementation of a patient portal and the associated integration of online appointment management, cross-sectoral digitization is to take place by 2024, in particular in the areas of admission management
and treatment management. With regard to discharge management and the associated exchange of information and data with secondary suppliers, the solution "Pflegeplatzmanager" at the UKR has already been comprehensively implemented as part of a previous project.
integrated. Among other things, this enables the integration of aftercare providers who are not connected to the telematics infrastructure (hereinafter referred to as "TI"), such as outpatient care services or nursing homes. In the course of the introduction of a patient portal
At the UKR, the nursing place manager must be integrated in accordance with the requirements of the KHZG, so that all MUST criteria according to § 19 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 2 KHSFV – Digital discharge and transition management are met.
